Hairstyle trends, our favourites to adopt this summer!

"Fashion goes out of fashion but style never does". Do you know this lovely saying from Coco Chanel? One style, one hairstyle: for those of you who like long or short bobs, wavy hair, blurred buns, hair accessories, we're giving you a quick rundown of the trends to adopt this season because this summer we can finally take back a little freedom and enjoy!

 

A year ago, the very first lockdown deprived us of hair salons. Deprived of expert hands to pamper our hair, we triedhomemade experiments that may have been a natural disaster... Admit it, which of us hasn't tried a Venetian blonde turned auburn ;-)

CQFD: concentrate on what you know how to do, don't experiment with hair, catch up on trends and go to your favourite hairdresser to try a new cut, or go for the accessory that will make all the difference. 

For those who are lacking inspiration, we share our favourites with you:

• The scarf in the hair:

A great favourite of the 70s, then labelled "Kitsch" by fashion critics, the scarf is once again the object of all desires. A trend that was premeditated thanks to Donatella Versace, who initiated the return of the scarf in 2018. Worn as a headband, tied on a ponytail or around a bun, it is the3 in 1 accessory that we love. 

 

 

• Mermaid hair:

The cult hairstyle of recent months, the Mermaid Hair is the new trend to follow. It is in fact a wavy with a notched look. What differentiates this hairstyle from the wavy The classic method, which we are used to, is that the curls are made on much thinner strands and therefore necessarily more numerous. The result is that the hair is even more full of volume and substance, and this is true for the whole of the hair, from the roots to the ends.

If you have the impression of déjà vu, it's normal because the Mermaid Hair is the emblematic hairstyle of Sarah Jessica Parker alias Carrie Bradshaw in the famous series " Sex and the City "! So, if this haircut already made you fall in love with it back then, it's now or never to succumb to it! Our advice: to achieve this hairstyle, get a three-headed "curler", a device that will make it much easier and faster to get the mermaid hair of your dreams!

 

 

• The shag cup:

Already a fixture on the catwalks in past seasons, the shag cut continues to revolutionise the look. This unstructured, layered and tapered cut is ideal for thick hair. The little extra? It adapts to all lengths and does not require hours of styling because its natural tousled effect is the desired effect. (Avoid for curly hair).

 

 

• The bun:

Whether it is worn high, low, twisted or strict... The chignon is an essential part of the hairstyle. For an everyday or occasional look, the chignon has become a"must-have". 

 

• The French square:

It is a world-renowned haircut that symbolises the Parisian par excellence and is the envy of many across the Atlantic. Also known as the " French bob ", the bob, worn with or without fringes, long or short, meets the desires of everyone. It is also the perfect cut for those who can't stand being hot in summer.  

 

• The ponytail:

We all agree that the ponytail is timeless. No matter what the occasion, it's a hairstyle that goes everywhere. At work, in the evening, at home, low or high... Simple and quick, it is one of those hairstyles that are easy to accessorize to fit any look. 

 

 

• The braid: 

Braiding is not just for little girls. It is even very trendy, and continues to reinvent itself season after season. By the way, did you know that the braid was first used in prehistoric times? It is one of the oldest hairstyles in the world, and one of the most worn! We love it!
